The Brisbane Celtic Fiddle Club blends crowd-stirring arrangements of wonderful Scottish, English, Australian and Irish tunes with an exciting orchestra of fiddles, flutes, pipes, guitars, bodhran and the occasional concertina. And the whole ensemble sings in harmony while they play! In five years this community music group, started by Emma Nixon to promote Scottish fiddling, has evolved a strong new direction for Australian traditional music. |
