The Majestic has become a unique, integral and much-loved part of the National Folk Festival – embracing music, dance, drama, vaudeville spoken word, poetry, circus and general chutzpah – now including such things as ‘Bush vs Slam’ (Poets), ‘Circus vs Morris’ and ‘Folk vs Folk’, under maestro Adam Hadley.
The Majestic originated as the Fringe Festival aspect of the Canberra Multicultural Festival, run by the ACT Government Multicultural Affairs, who handed it to the National Folk Festival with three years funding from 2010-12.
Sadly there is no further funding for what has now been nurtured to become a much-anticipated part of the annual festival program.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to save the Majestic, please send a cheque or money order to:

Or you can make a direct deposit into the National Folk Festival Public Fund if you wish but please email fm@folkfestival.org.au with your address details, to say you have done so to enable us to issue a Tax Receipt for you.
