• The National Folk Festival is held at an ACT Government venue, and patrons are required to comply with all ACT Health directions regarding Covid-19 management. The patron understands that the event has a Covid-19 Management Plan and Risk Assessment in place that will be revised as circumstances around Covid-19 and Government responses change.

    The National Folk Festival will communicate any chances and requirements to patrons via email, social media and through updates on the National Folk Festival website as they occur. The National Folk Festival is working closely with ACT Health and Venues ACT to ensure the safety of its patrons, and patrons agree to comply with our Covid-19 Safety Protocols as required at the time of the event.

    Patrons acknowledge that in attending there is a risk of transmission of viral illness, including Covid-19, and accept these risks when attending the event.

    In the unlikely event that patrons are unable to redeem their tickets due to changes in Government-imposed Covid-19 restrictions, the Festival will offer a full refund as an exception to our current Refund Policy

  • A pre-purchased wristband is issued in the name of a specific person. To enter and remain on the Festival site, every person must be in possession of a valid wristband. A pre-purchased wristband may be transferred into the name of another person until the 28th February 2024 by contacting the Festival, either by emailing tickets@folkfestival.org.au or by calling 02 6262 4792.

    All tickets are non-transferrable after the 28th February 2024, after which the Festival’s Refund Policy applies. All tickets are non-refundable (see Refund Policy).

    Wristbands will NOT be mailed out to the purchaser. You will receive a PDF with a QR code upon purchase of your ticket. Tickets will only be available for collection from the Festival Box Offices at EPiC. Your QR Code is required for collection. Lost, damaged or tampered wristbands will not be replaced by the Festival. Once a valid wristband is issued, a person is able to go in and out of the Festival site for the duration of the period covered by the wristband. The patron’s wristband must be scanned on each entry and exit. The Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to any person who is unable to produce a valid wristband or seeks to gain entry to the Festival with a duplicate of a ticket/wristband that has already been presented at a Festival Ticket Office, or produces a wristband purchased or obtained from an unauthorised source or through illegal means, or is in possession of and refused to surrender any prohibited or illegal object. ID may be checked at any time on the Festival site to ensure the correct wristband has been issued.

    If a person is found on the Festival site without a valid wristband, the person will be evicted from the Festival. The Festival reserves the right to have any such person charged with trespassing.

  • It is the responsibility of a parent/guardian/responsible adult to ensure that any ticket holder under the age of 18 for which they are responsible complies with these Terms and Conditions and any ticket holder under the age of 16 for which they are responsible remains in their care and control while at the Festival.

    Every patron aged 15 years old and under must be accompanied by a ticketed parent/guardian/responsible adult when presenting at the Festival entry gates or they will be refused entry. A person aged 16 or 17 years of age does not need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian/responsible adult when presenting a pre-purchased ticket or purchasing a ticket at a Festival site Box office and can choose to be issued with a second wristband at the Festival to indicate they are attending unaccompanied. This wristband requires the presentation of a valid Proof of Age Card or photo ID. All persons under the age of 18 camping on site must have a ticketed parent/guardian/responsible adult on site as a member of their camping group.

    A parent/guardian/responsible adult of any ticket holder aged under 18 must be contactable via phone at all times during the Festival. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by a ticket holder aged under 18 years of age may result in the eviction of the accompanying parent/guardian/responsible adult and all accompanying minors from the Festival site.

  • The National Folk Festival is a liquor licensed event. The Festival supports responsible consumption of liquor by adult ticket holders and seeks to minimise the harm associated with the consumption of liquor. A person must be aged 18 years or older to purchase and/or consume alcohol on the Festival site. Any person seeing to purchase and/or consume alcohol must be able to produce Proof of Age in the form of valid photo ID and if valid photo ID cannot be produced service will be refused. Any person found to be supplying alcohol to persons under the age of 18 will have their wristband removed, be evicted from the site and criminal charges may apply. Any person aged under 18 found to be consuming liquor on the Festival site may have their wristband removed, be evicted from site and criminal charges may apply.

    BYO alcohol is not permitted within the Festival Entertainment Zone. Alcohol purchased at a Festival bar is limited to the Festival Entertainment Zone. The Festival may refuse to sell alcohol to any person: behaving in an abusive manner toward Festival security, staff or volunteers, or where it is assessed that the behaviour of the person may cause harm to any person or damage to property.

    Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas.

    At the Festival every person must: comply with the law, follow instructions on any permanent and temporary signage in the Festival site, not engage in loud or intimidating behaviour while on the Festival site including camping areas, and follow any reasonable direction from Festival security, staff and volunteers.

    The Festival has the right to evict a person who acts in a manner that: is illegal, threatens the safety of any person, reasonably interferes with others’ enjoyment of the Festival, or is considered by Festival Management to be inappropriate or offensive. To minimise the risk of injury at the Festival: no glass is permitted to be brought into the Festival Entertainment Zone, footwear must be worn at all times, bicycles, skateboards or similar equipment must not be used within the Festival Entertainment Zone unless authorised by Festival Management. Subject to it being used in a safe manner that is respectful of other patrons, use of such equipment is permitted in the camping areas except along major access roads, particularly: the route used by the Festival Shuttle Bus service, and any road adjoining Artist camping and disability parking or camping areas. The Festival takes no responsibility for personal belongings lost, damaged or stolen within the Festival site or car parks.

  • All tickets are non-refundable (see Refund Policy). The Festival will take place regardless of the weather. While every effort is made to present the program as advertised, the Festival reserves the right to vary the advertised artists and/or program without notice. No refunds will be given due to a change in programming. Every performance venue has capacity restrictions and aisle requirements to meet safety regulations. Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee admission to any particular venue at any particular time.

  • Bags over an A4 size will be searched upon entering the Festival Site/Festival Entertainment Zone.

  • Sound and video recordings are not permitted without the prior written permission of the Festival Managing Director. Photography is permitted for private purposes and not for sale or publication, without the prior written consent of the Festival Managing Director. Festival attendees may be photographed and/or filmed at the Festival and these images may be used for a variety of printed, online and broadcast promotional and/or internal purposes in relation to the Festival. If a Festival attendee does not wish to be filmed or photographed for these purposes, they must inform the photographer/camera operator.

  • National Folk Festival (Festival) Payment Plans are available only for Season Tickets, Season Camping Tickets and Optional Extras for campers.

    By purchasing a ticket under the Payment Plan the purchaser agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions in addition to the above Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

    The date of purchase is the ‘commencement date’.

    All instalments must be finalised by Tuesday 2nd April 2024 - the ‘completion date’.

    The period between the commencement date and the completion date is the ‘payment period’.

    By purchasing tickets under the Payment Plan, the purchaser authorises the Festival to arrange a transfer of funds from the nominated credit card in specified amounts at weekly intervals advised at the time of purchase.

    A one-off $8.00 Payment Plan Administration Fee, plus the standard Booking Fees per item will be applied to the order.

    All fees are non-refundable.

    The first instalment is deducted at the time of purchase and its equal to the total Administration and Booking Fees.

    The weekly instalment amount will vary depending on the commencement date.

    Instalments will be deducted in equal amounts between 1am and 4am Friday morning (or next business day) via a nominated Visa Credit/Debit Card or Mastercard Credit/Debit card only.

    If the Payment Plan is entered into between midnight Monday and 4am Friday, the next instalment will be scheduled for the following week.

    It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that throughout the Payment Period:

    The nominated credit card remains valid; and

    Sufficient funds are available on that card

    If the nominated credit card is declined during the Payment Period, IWannaTicket (on behalf of the Festival) will contact the purchaser by email.

    If a payment is declined on the Friday, the purchaser will receive a notification that a second attempt will be made on the following Wednesday.

    If the payment is declined on the second attempt, the Payment Plan will be stopped and the purchaser will receive notification by email that they are to contact IWannaTicket directly at support@iwannaticket.com.au or by calling (02) 8960 8895.

    The Festival may suspend or cancel the Payment Plan if on two consecutive occasions an instalment is declined. The Festival will notify the purchaser if it suspends or cancels the Payment Plan.

    A Payment Plan can be reinstated and the weekly instalments will be recalculated from the date of reinstatement to the date of completion.

    Any fees charged by by the purchaser’s financial institution as a result of a declined instalment will be payable by the account holder.

    If a purchaser believes that a withdrawal has been initiated incorrectly it is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact IWannaTicket (operating on behalf of the Festival) at support@iwannaticket.com.au prior to the completion date.

    If the Payment Plan is cancelled by the purchaser for any reason prior to the completion date, 80% of the payments made to date, excluding all fees, will be refunded within 30 days of written notification of cancellation to the Festival.

    Tickets purchased under the Payment Plan option will only be issued after the final instalment has been processed and the tickets are paid for in full.

    All tickets issued are subject to the Festival’s Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

  • Any person intending to camp at the National Folk Festival must have a Season + Camping ticket. Camping is only permitted in designated camping areas. Camping is not permitted in Festival car parks. The campgrounds are open from 9:00am Monday pre-Festival to 12:00pm (Midday) Tuesday post-Festival. Camping is not permitted before this time and early arrivals will not be admitted to the campground. Campsites are available on a first come, first served basis (with the exception of a limited number of pre-booked campsites). Power is only available to pre-booked powered sites. To use power, you must have a tested and tagged power lead. The Festival reserved the right to remove dangerous or untagged power leads. Campfires are not permitted under any circumstances. The Festival reserved the right to remove tarpaulins/ropes that are reserving camping spaces or are considered by Festival Management to be a health and safety risk. Tent pegs may only be a maximum of 250mm long. In the event of bad weather, vehicles may become bogged on site. By choosing the bring their own vehicle onto the Festival site, patrons acknowledge this possibility and agree to resolve it at their own cost, should bogging occur. The Festival accepts no responsibility for bogged vehicles.

  • No animals are allowed on the Festival site (including the campground) except for: guide dogs, hearing dogs, or registered assistance and companion animals. All guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance and companion animals must be registered with the Festival prior to arriving on the Festival site. All registered animals must be on a lead and with their owner at all times while on the Festival site including in parking and camping areas. The Festival takes no responsibility for the acts of guide dogs, hearing dogs or assistance and companion animals. Persons with guide dogs, hearing dogs or assistance and companion animals may be liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by their animal while on the Festival site. For the safety and wellbeing of an animal, no animal should be left in a parked vehicle while the person responsible for that animal attends the Festival.
