Do you love our national annual celebration of folk culture?
Do you support the nurturing and preservation of folk culture and folk life as a vital element in Australian life?
3Mar3 Many people include bequests to charitable organisations in their Will. Often these bequests will be to charities that they feel are worthy causes and have supported in one way or another during their lifetime.

The National Folk Festival Ltd is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). As required by the ACNC, National Folk Festival Ltd complies with governance standards and reports annually to the ACNC.

When next making or updating your Will, think about including a bequest of a specified sum of money to National Folk Festival Ltd to support the National Folk Festival.   By doing so you would be making a greatly appreciated gift to support the Festival and our folk culture into the future.

An example of wording that could be used for this purpose is as follows:

I give to National Folk Festival Limited (ACN 058 761 274), for its general purposes, the sum of $_____, for which an authorised receipt from National Folk Festival Limited will be a sufficient discharge to my executor or trustee.

Alternatively, you may want your bequest to support a particular aspect of the Festival or folk culture. This could be achieved by making a bequest for a more specific purpose.

If you would like to talk to someone about making a bequest to support the National Folk Festival, please call the Festival Office on (02) 6262 4792 and ask to speak to the Festival Director.
