The National Folk Festival (“The National”) is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organisation, and a registered charity that receives most of its income from festival generated funds and ticket sales.

The National aspires to foster and sustain a love and appreciation of folk culture by engaging established and emerging folk practitioners to participate in a lively, entertaining, and welcoming festival every Easter long weekend.

There are many ways to support us, we are a registered charity and all donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. From donations to sponsorship and partner packages, to philanthropic giving and bequests, every contribution big and small makes a difference. Your donation will help us plan for future festivals, deliver a thought-provoking artistic program, and provide a creative platform for our artists.
