COMMUNITY ARTS
Get creative with the Community Arts Program with all manner of art and craft projects and workshops on offer to get stuck into. Contribute to the ongoing activites available for folks of all ages, join in at a specific workshop, or simply bring your current crafty endeavour along and meet some like-minded folks.
This year, cultural and heritage-based workshops abound. Aylwen Gardiner-Garden shares traditional millinery practices, learn Palestinian tatreez embroidery with Bec Bastoli, explore leather-working with Ceilidh Dalton, paint vibrant folk motifs with Ines Crowe and Dani Olney, make jewellery or blend your own signature scent with Yolanda Wang.
You can also create mosaic coasters, felt soap, hand-dipped candles or cyanotype tote bags with Tess Carlton, or sketch the Festival in motion with Sandy Gray. Marianne Mettes leads puppet-making workshops, while Tim Carlton invites participants to design and create personalised Festival T-shirts reflecting their unique Festival experience.
The Community Arts Program offers space to try something new and connect with others and your own creativity. Book your workshops now!
