• Our Access Team is located in the Quokka pavilion.

• The Access Team operates during the following hours: Thursday - Monday: 9am - 7pm.

• For after-hours access, please call the ECC. This number will be posted on the door of the Access area in the Quokka Pavilion.

• Access services include charging stations for electric scooters and other medical devices, a respite space, wheelchair hire and other supports

Accessible Camping

• Each of our camping zones is supported by accessible toilets.

• Please complete our Accessibily Form, if:

  • You require access to power for medical reasons

  • To request a location close to amenities, after you have purchased your Season + Camping ticket

  • You require access to the accessible shower facilities and/or overnight wheelchair charging facilities

  • You’d like to camp in our Access Campground

• We apologise that we may not be able to accommodate large groups of friends or extended family in the Access Camping area and will only be able to admit the patron with the accessibility requirements, their immediate family and one registered carer (if applicable) in this zone.

There are accessible toilets throughout the Festival Entertainment Zone, as well as each of the camping zones. Accessible toilets can be found in the following locations:

• Koszciusko building

• Fitzroy Pavilion

• Link Building (between the Coorong and Budawang)

• Coorong Pavilion

• Budawang Pavilion

• Snowy River Session Room

Patrons with an Australian Disability Parking Permit have access to free parking at the Well Station Road car park and the Flemington Road car park. A government-issued parking permit must be displayed for the entire duration that you are parked.

If you would like to be dropped off at the Entertainment Zone gate, please enter via the slip road off Flemington Road at Gate 2.

There is only one area supported by a wheelchair-accessible shower facility available to our Festival campers. If you require access to this shower, please complete our Accessibility Form, so that we can ensure that you are allocated a site nearby.

Assistance animals include Guide dogs, Hearing dogs and Registered assistance animals.

All assistance animals must be registered with the National Folk Festival prior to arriving at the Festival site. Please fill in our Assistance Animal Form to register your animal. Proof of Assistance Animal Training or Public Access Test Pass must be supplied as part of this form. Information about acceptable forms of proof can be found in the form.

Companion Card holders

• The National Folk Festival is a Registered Business Affiliate of the Companion Card Program. We are pleased to be able to issue Companion Card holders with a ticket for their attendant carer at no charge. We accept Companion Cards issued in any Australian State or Territory. Companion Card holders are required to purchase their tickets online or at the Festival Box Office.

• If you would like to buy your ticket online, please choose ‘Companion Card Ticket’ on the ticketing website and then you can redeem your ticket at the festival Box Office. You will be required to present your Companion Card when you redeem your ticket.

To ensure that we are well-prepared with adequate charging and viewing spaces, we request that all patrons with accessibility requirements complete our Accessibility Form. While we encourage you to arrive at the Festival with fully charged batteries, we have a charging station in the Entertainment Zone to allow for battery charging of wheelchairs and communication devices. Much of our Festival site has standard roads and cement kerbs. We have made every effort to ensure that there are ample access ramps throughout our Entertainment Zone. For campers using wheelchairs or scooters, please complete our Accessibility Form to ensure that you have access to overnight charging facilities, and accessible toilets and showers.

The Festival offers a limited number of wheelchairs for four-hour loan periods. If you would like to use this service, please chat to our Access Team at the Quokka Pavilion.

We take inclusivity seriously, and are making every effort to do what we can to ensure that everyone feels welcome and supported at the National Folk Festival.
