ACCESSIBILITY
The National Folk Festival 2025 will be held at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC). EPIC has a mix of asphalt roads with kerbs, ramps, and grassed terrain. The festival has quite a large footprint, and we offer many seated areas and accessible facilities throughout the site.
We request that anyone using their Companion Card, or using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, complete our Accessibility Form so that we can do our best to meet demand for wheelchair & communication device charging, viewing areas and accessible camping. All assistance animals must be registered prior to arriving at the festival, using our Assistance Animal Form (see below).

AccommodationArtists are responsible for their own accommodation, travel and meals, unless otherwise negotiated. Free camping on site is available to all contracted performers at the National Folk Festival. Artists who select this option will need to provide their own tents and bedding.
-
Choir InformationChoirs add incredible vibrancy at the Festival and offer a wonderful opportunity for patrons to participate easily. Because of this most of our choirs will find that they will be programmed to perform outdoors in busy areas that allow for patrons moving through the site to enjoy their music. These performances will be busking style, but scheduled to a time and location and promoted in the Festival program. Some choirs may be invited to perform in indoor venues however we ask applicants to understand that they should expect to be offered at least one programmed performance outdoors.
-
ContractsThe Festival will supply successful applicants with a standard Festival contract.
-
Public LiabilitySuccessful artists will be required to supply a certificate of currency for a current Public Liability Insurance Policy for all members at the time of contracting. NOTE: All unpaid performers/ groups will not be required to take out their own PLI. Instead, if you are accepted, all performance group members will be required to signup through a password protected volunteer portal as volunteer performers, thereby being covered by our PLI.
-
RidersThe NFF is not in a position to offer riders. We do however offer a Green Room facility which includes basic tea and coffee facilities.
-
Artist and crew ticketsAll contracted artists and performers are provided with an artist wristband. Additional support staff, crew and management are generally not provided a complimentary ticket unless negotiated with the AD or Festival Management.

Artist family ticketsFamily is a very important part of our festival, and we would love to see yours there too! While we are not in a position to offer complimentary tickets, we look forward to offering a special rate for your immediate family.
