Sylvie and Ailish

Sylvie Rigby and Ailish Moran are two teenagers fuelled with an intense love of Irish music and culture, largely inherited from their families. Having traveled Ireland together, the two play well beyond their years, taking inspiration from old-school traditional players. They take a stripped back, authentic approach to tune playing, filled with intricate details and a variety of regional styles and tunes. They won the All-Ireland newly composed, at age 12, and the Maldon Minstrel songwriters award at age 15.
