Recycling and Waste
Pre Festival, During and Post Festival
The Folk Festival is very proud of our efforts to recycle and reduce the waste we produce and have won awards in the past for these efforts. If you’re as passionate about waste reduction as we are, you’ll be a great addition to the Recycling and Waste team. You’ll be facilitating the collection of waste, recycling and organics bins to central locations for collection, as well as advising vendors on what can and can’t be recycled.
Who
This team needs physically fit volunteers with a passion for sustainability and responsible waste management. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so bring comfortable shoes!
When
The Recycling and Waste team operates pre, during and post Festival, from the 29th March to 6th of April, 8am-10pm. Volunteers for this team are required to complete 20 hours of work, or 30 hours if only working Pre and Post Festival.
How
All volunteers are required to complete online induction and training that will be available prior to the festival dates. Face-to-face training requirements will be advised by your Team Coordinator once you are confirmed as part of a team
