Brisbane-based vocal/guitar/fiddle trio The Poachers (Andrew Heath, Cathy Bell and Penny Boys) formed in 1998 and had great success on the Australian festival circuit, providing support for folk greats Altan, Tony McManus and the Fureys, and releasing a critically-acclaimed CD in 2000 which received national airplay on the ABC. Now, after an 8-year break living on different continents, they are back together, singing and playing an eclectic mix of traditional English, Irish, American and Australian folk music and original songs. |
