Gates - Pre Festival
Pre - Festival

Our Gates PreFest team welcomes Staff, contractors, Volunteers, and patrons as they enter
the Festival grounds during the set-up period. We are responsible to ensure that everyone has
the appropriate accreditation (i.e., passes and permits) to enter the Festival grounds and is
dressed appropriately (i.e., high-viz and closed-toe shoes). We work closely with security at
external-facing gates.
A separate Gates team operates during the Festival.

Who

We are one of the "first faces of the Festival" to almost everybody whom we meet. We need
responsible, friendly people with good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
read, communicate, and verify entry requirements - accreditation and clothing, and with flexibility
to adapt to changing entry requirements as Festival set-up proceeds.

When

Gates PreFest operates Saturday, 28 March - Thursday, 2 April,
7:00am-7:00pm most days. Volunteers are required to complete 30 hours of work.

How

All Volunteers must complete relevant online induction and training available prior to arriving
at the Festival. All Volunteers must read and understand the training material they will receive by
Email in the weeks prior to our first Saturday of working. We plan to have a face-to-face meet and greet prior to the Festival, Sunday 29 March.
